My paintings hedge between abstraction and representation, between memory and willed conjuring.
Forms reoccur and change over time, but the mainstay of my visual vocabulary is autobiographical and observational.

Atmosphere, time and the challenge of making paintings that reference past, future, present occupy the bulk of my interest in painting.

I want my paintings to connect synapses, build bridges and to live between brazen self-assuredness and a sort of quietude that asks rather than demands your attention.
